During our African safari I took a photo of this grey heron. It was fishing in an area with other birds and further away the elephants were submerged taking a break from the sun. It's one of my favorite birds and I wanted to do something a bit more abstract with it as well as keeping it's original image. I watercolored a different sky with many of the same blues and added texture to it.
